Peregrine Single Stroke Pneumatic Rifle

The Peregrine Single Stroke Pneumatic Air Rifle was made by GET-Designs as one of three demonstration models (all of Which are Different) to be made for this type of Air Rifle.

This one was produced early in 2016 and is the rifle in our video, on YouTube.

This rifle was hand made by Graham, and features a carbon shrouded .177 barrel situated over a high carbon steel pump tube,

the overall length of it is 40 inches, and it weighs in at just over 7 lbs.

The side situated cocking leaver is also carbon fibre which is substantially lighter than the alloy alternative used on the previous Paradigm rifle.

The Thumbhole Stock is American Walnut and has been hand chequered and oiled.

The Rotary breach and Body including 7 slot Picatinny rail has been made from 7075 T6 aluminium alloy.

This rifle is also fitted with short-range open sights and adjustable But Pad.

The pump tube is one of the most important features of any Single Stroke Pneumatic Rifle, and in this case,

it is made from high carbon steel that has been bored and fully machined all over before being heat treated then honed and polished.

Normal practice is to use CDS tube which is low carbon and not hardened so the life expectancy of this is far better.

The materials, and pump used on this rifle exceeds that which is usually found on any rifle of this type, but it is unlikely to be repeated due to the costs involved in doing so.

Unusually, this rifle is self-serviceable with regard to seals,

and they are all of a standard nature that can be easily purchased online from various sources if required.

The piston unit that controls its power, can not be altered without very special tools (which we have)

 but that has a service life well in excess of 1,000,000 cycles.

The seals in it have been there since it was made and from today’s performance figures you can see that it is still performing as required.

However, upon sale the rifle will be fully serviced and all new ones fitted, plus a spare set will be included with it.

This Rifle is .177 calibre and when firing a QYS 9.56 grain pellet over our chronograph constantly produced 11.4 ft lbs of energy.

Further recent test results:

QYS 8.48 grains  – 780 ft/sec 11.46 ft/lbs,

Bisley Mag 10.4 grains – 718 ft/sec 11.90 ft/lbs,

JSB Heavy 10.34 grains – 712 ft/sec 11.64 ft/lbs,

RWS Match 7 grains -  820 ft/sec 10.45 ft/lbs  

As mentioned, this is one of three, the one shorter action version is owned by a close friend of the Company who removed the original Target stock and made a superb custom one for himself,

this one, which has the longer higher-powered action, and a further one, that is used by Graham as His personal Rifle.

There are no plans to make any more, If the design is sold it is extremely unlikely that any, that are produced, will be of this quality.

Therefore,  you would be buying a high quality, unique and very rare Rifle.
