The Diana Model 2 pistol is a vintage air pistol that was produced in Great Britain during the 1950s and 1960s. However, there were also versions made in Germany between 1935 and 1985
The Diana Model 2 pistol was a compressible barrel type of pistol similar in operation to the Gat and it fired 177 calibre pellets and special darts. It was spring-powered meaning that the power was generated by a coiled spring which was compressed when the gun was cocked.
The Diana Model 2 pistol in my opinion, was one the best of all the Gat type models and was reasonably accurate, out to around 15 yards, making it popular for backyard plinking and target shooting with pellets or darts.
This gun was made during a time when British manufacturing was known for its attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Whilst in the mid1960s the Gat type pistol was very popular but fell from grace within a few years and good examples have become quite rare.
Now anyone, lucky enough to come across a vintage British made Diana Model 2 pistol such as this one, will be pleased to have it.
