Based on the information we have, the Benjamin Sheridan Air Pistol H series with serial number R105625 was likely manufactured sometime between 1982 and 1991.
The H series pistols were introduced in 1982 and were later replaced by the H9 series in 1991.
However confusingly, the information leaflet contained within the box is headed H9 pneumatic pistols, which suggests that it could be a later version.
The H and HB ones used the same box, the B signified the black version, but this is the superb Nickel model in .22 calibre 5.5mm.
The Benjamin Sheridan H series pistols were popular for their accuracy and reliability. They were also relatively affordable, which made them a popular choice for target shooting and plinking.
The pistols were powered by a multi-pump pneumatic system, which allowed users to adjust the power level by varying the number of pumps.
Here we have a boxed Nickel pistol that is in as new condition and as far as we can see has never been used, but there is a sign of corosion on the bolt head and hence the price reduction.
